Scenes from a Marriage Trailer Starring Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain

After starring together in J.C. Chandor’s acclaimed 2014 film A Most Violent Year, Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain are once again reteaming to play husband and wife in an upcoming HBO remake of Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes from a Marriage. The 1973 original (which was also originally released a TV mini-series in Sweden) starred Liv Ullmann and Erland Josephson as a divorce lawyer and psychology professor going through a tumultuous relationship charted across a span of 10 years. The new version was created by Hagai Levi (In Treatment, The Affair), who also writes and directs all six episodes. Scenes from a Marriage premieres on HBO and HBO Max this September; check out the first teaser trailer below and let us know what you think.
