Jason Momoa’s next major role on the big screen will be in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune this October, but before that movie hits theatres he also has the second season of See coming to Apple TV+ and a new movie coming to Netflix next month called Sweet Girl. The latter is a revenge thriller that finds him playing a family man who takes on big pharma after a company pulls a drug from store shelves that could have helped his wife’s battle with cancer. When his daughter’s life is put in danger, he decides to settle the score once and for all. The movie marks the directorial debut of Brian Andrew Mendoza, who runs a production company with Momoa and collaborated with him previously on Braven, Road to Paloma and the TV series Frontier. Sweet Girl arrives on Netflix on Aug. 6th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.
