America: The Motion Picture Trailer: The Founding Fathers Get Reimagined as R-Rated Action Heroes

Say what you will about Netflix but every now and then they manage to drop something wonderfully strange and unexpected into our laps. Case in point: just in time for Independence Day this year they will be releasing a feature-length R-rated animated movie called America: The Motion Picture that offers an unlikely team-up between George Washington, Sam Adams, Thomas Edison, Paul Revere and Geronimo in a wild new revisionist take on the American Revolution. Directed by Matt Thompson (Archer), written by Dave Callaham (The Expendables) and produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the movie features the voices of Channing Tatum, Simon Pegg, Judy Greer, Bobby Moynihan, Raoul Max Trujillo, Killer Mike, Olivia Munn, Jason Mantzoukas, Will Forte and Andy Samberg. America: The Motion Picture arrives on Netflix on June 30th; check out the trailer after the jump and give us your thoughts below.
