Just over two years ago, Netflix released the first season of Love Death + Robots, an animated anthology series from producers David Fincher, Tim Miller, Joshua Donen and Jennifer Miller. It was a big enough hit that a second season was commissioned and now this week a trailer for that new season has finally arrived along with the surprise announcement that a third season is also in the works. Love Death + Robots: Volume 2 looks to be another strange, eclectic, and sometimes violent ride, but based on the trailer there may be a slightly higher ratio of CG animated segments this time around. The full list of directors and studios has yet to be announced but Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3) acted as supervising director. Love Death + Robots: Volume 2 arrives on Netflix with eight episodes on May 14th while Volume 3 is expected sometime in 2022. Check out the trailer below and see what you think.
