Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard Trailer

It’s starting to feel like we might have a summer movie season this year after all as a few relatively high-profile movies have finally locked in their release dates (although admittedly, a few others have just been pushed back). Lionsgate has released the first trailer for the upcoming sequel to their 2017 hit The Hitman’s Bodyguard, which is set to arrive in June just a couple of weeks before F9. The movie is called Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and it finds Ryan Reynolds reteaming with Samuel L. Jackson this time with Salma Hayek added to the mix. She plays the wife of Darius Kincaid (Jackson), who brings Michael Bryce (Reynolds) out of a forced sabbatical to help rescue him. Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3) also returns to direct while Antonio Banderas plays the villain. Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard hits theatres on June 16th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Noticed Jay listed The Empty Man on Letterboxd on his watchlist, IMO this would make a great main review on the show as it’s a film with lots to discuss. If enough people see it, I think it has a chance to become a cult classic.
