With Valentine’s Day happening this weekend there is a flood of new movies getting digital releases (not all of them particularly romantic). The biggest titles of the week include the latest WB simultaneous theatrical / HBO Max release Judas and the Black Messiah, the Kristen Wiig / Annie Mumolo buddy comedy Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, and the A24 horror flick Saint Maud. (The latter is debuting on Epix in the U.S. but VOD in Canada.) The Oscar favourite Minari starring Steven Yuen is also out in virtual theatres this weekend while the Nicolas Cage horror movie Willy’s Wonderland and the Coen-esque crime thriller Breaking News in Yuba County also get premium VOD releases. On Netflix, we’ve got the Swedish thriller Red Dot and the Joe Berlinger true crime series Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel while The Silence of the Lambs sequel series Clarice premieres on CBS All Access. What will you be watching this weekend?
