M. Night Shyamalan’s Old Super Bowl Trailer

Believe it or not, the only truly new and exciting trailer released during the Super Bowl last night was for M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming movie Old. Although it is just a thirty second TV spot, it introduces a pretty intriguing premise involving a family on vacation who discover a secluded beach that causes them to age rapidly. Based on the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre-Oscar Levy and Frederick Peeters, the movie has a solid cast that includes Gael GarcĂa Bernal, Vicky Krieps, Rufus Sewell, Ken Leung, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abbey Lee, Alex Wolff, Eliza Scanlen, Embeth Davidtz and Thomasin McKenzie. After getting his career back on track with Split, it’s nice to see Shyamalan back to doing what he does best: original high-concept thrillers. Old is currently scheduled to arrive in theatres on July 23rd; check out the TV spot below and let us know what you think.

I saw something similar, only they were in a cave – low-budget, but good. This looks interesting.
