Once again, congratulations to Film Junk on immortalizing themselves in podcast history! The 16 year war of attrition was worth it. You truly are the King of Kings!

After listening, if anyone wants their Top Tens and Junkies breakdown before Sean posts, here you go!

  • Looking forward to the listen. This is in my top five movies of the year. Top three if you don’t count Queen’s Gambit and The Last Dance as movies (frank). But I do.

  • I think the first episode I ever listened to (way before I started podcasting) was when they reviewed “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer”. If memory serves, they were mostly complaining how the title of the movie makes no sense. Lol

Other than the odd review like “Friday the 13th”, “Waltz with Bashir”, or “Anvil” (documentary) from 2008 or 2009, I distinctly remember coming across various Reed Farrington (aka Darth Nameless) tour videos and holiday skits. Google had priority indexed them? And then there was his Bargain Bin section. R.I.P.

Ol’ Jay Wesley sound-boarding Frankie is one of life’s great pleasures.

This is amazing, guys. Congrats on unlocking the world-record achievement! This is certainly the longest podcast that I’VE been listening to. More than a decade! I can’t believe it.

By the way, it’s not that easy to find on their website, I had to actively search for Film Junk to find it. Is the book also coming out in physical edition? Does anyone know?

  • Lior

How is Tenet deterministic? I’ll be interested to know. Because Interstellar by the same director argued for the exact opposite. While Interstellar is about closed time-loops and destiny, it’s also very much, and even more, about choice. How does Frank define determinism?

Haven’t seen Tenet by the way, but would still like to know.
