Bliss Trailer: A New Sci-Fi Drama from the Director of Another Earth

Director Mike Cahill’s indie sci-fi drama Another Earth was a breakout hit back in 2011, and although star Brit Marling has gone on to find success with several other movies and the Netflix series The OA, Cahill has remained a little more quiet. His 2014 film I Origins was another mix of science and spirituality that didn’t quite catch on but now this year he has a new high concept movie coming to Amazon Prime called Bliss. The movie stars Owen Wilson as a recently divorced man who meets a scientist (Salma Hayek) exploring a theory that the bleak, depressing world they live in is just a simulation inside of a beautiful utopian one. After he experiences it firsthand, the boundaries between both worlds slowly start to blur, leaving him unsure where he belongs. Bliss arrives on Prime Video on Feb. 5th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
