It remains to be seen if Doug Liman’s upcoming movie Chaos Walking will still be released in theatres this March, but in the meantime he’s got a new movie premiering on HBO Max that was shot quickly last year under COVID-19 safety protocols. The movie is called Locked Down and it stars Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor as a couple at their wits’ end quarantining together who hatch a plan to pull off a diamond heist. Written by Steven Knight (Locke, Serenity), it features a supporting cast that includes Ben Kingsley, Ben Stiller, Lucy Boynton, Mindy Kaling and Stephen Merchant although many of them appear via Zoom calls (within the context of the movie, of course). Locked Down arrives on HBO Max on Jan. 14th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.
