Nobody Trailer: An Action Movie Starring Bob Odenkirk from the Director of Hardcore

Well, here’s a movie I did not know that I needed in my life until about five minutes ago. Bob Odenkirk has branched out from his comedy work over the past decade and earned accolades for his dramatic performances as well (particularly in Better Call Saul), but now he seems to be reinventing himself again… as an action hero? Nobody finds Odenkirk playing a seemingly mild-mannered family man who is ridiculed for not fighting back against some thieves and finally snaps, revealing years of built-up rage and dark secrets. Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry), the movie is also written by John Wick scribe Derek Kolstad and executive produced by Kolstad and John Wick co-director David Leitch. As action credentials go, that’s pretty solid and overall this looks like it could be a lot of fun. Nobody arrives in theatres on Feb. 26th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

This looks fun as hell, but he’s not exactly a weak nobody, is he? A bit misleading there.

You had me at ‘from the director of Hardcore Henry’. In a tsunami of Disney, HBO Max superhero and star wars news, this is the only trailer in months that’s actually had me excited to see something!

Forget to say, I’m old enough to remember how everyone thought it was crazy to cast that “funny guy” Bruce Willis in an action film. Makes me wonder if Bob Odenkirk will get some of that Die Hard magic from this and he’ll be the action star of choice for the next decade (Liam Neeson is getting old so somebody has to take up the mantle).
