Steven Soderbergh was one of the first directors to embrace the concept of day-and-date VOD releases with his film Bubble back in 2006, but it wasn’t until last year that he started working directly with streaming services. Both The Laundromat and High Flying Bird debuted on Netflix but his next project is moving to HBO Max where he recently signed a three-year deal. Let Them All Talk stars Meryl Streep as an author who goes on a cruise with a couple of long-time friends (Dianne Wiest and Candice Bergen) and brings along her nephew (Lucas Hedges) for the ride. Gemma Chan also co-stars as her literary agent. As with a lot of Soderbergh films, this looks somewhat low-key but also lighthearted and charming. Let Them All Talk arrives on HBO Max on Dec. 10th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
