Between Bill & Ted Face the Music and the release of his documentary Showbiz Kids on HBO, Alex Winter has already had a pretty busy year, but now the trailer for his second documentary of 2020 has also dropped. Zappa is a feature-length exploration of the outspoken and inimitable music icon Frank Zappa and was made in cooperation with Zappa’s estate. The movie mixes never-before-seen home movies, interviews and live footage that show him pushing boundaries not just in terms of music but also politics and ideas as well. It is being called the definitive documentary on Frank Zappa and one that aims to please both hardcore fans and outsiders alike. Zappa arrives in theatres for one night only on Nov. 23rd followed by a VOD release on Nov. 27th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
