The Christmas Chronicles 2 Trailer Starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn

The Christmas Chronicles was a big hit for Netflix back in 2018 with over 20 million people supposedly tuning in to see Kurt Russell as Santa Claus within the first week of release. Now the sequel is almost upon us and this time around producer Chris Columbus has decided to take over the director’s chair himself. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are back to play Mr. and Mrs. Claus in a story that finds a mysterious, magical troublemaker named Belsnickel trying to steal the Christmas Star from the North Pole. Julian Dennison (The Hunt for the Wilderpeople) plays Belsnickel while Darby Camp reprises her role as Kate from the previous film and Jahzir Bruno (The Witches) plays her mom’s new boyfriend’s son Jack. The Christmas Chronicles 2 arrives on Netflix on Nov. 25th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

  • Those Netflix viewership numbers are meaningless since all they mean is that 20 million people watched a couple of minutes of this film (I wouldn’t be suprised if Netflix even counts the previews for this that autoplay when your cursor is on a specific film.

Ultimately the bigger question would be how many people watched a film until the closing credits played. Meaning: finished the film. Although as is evident with Frank, a lot of viewers might schedule their viewing of a single film over the span of a week.

Goldie needs those little half-moon glasses and Kurt should officially replace the Santa from the Coca-Cola ads – that beard is magnificent.
