Just when you thought studios were starting to run out of direct-to-VOD movies to release during the pandemic, along comes Nicolas Cage with a movie that screams VOD louder than just about any movie in history. Jiu Jitsu stars Cage as the leader of an ancient order of Jiu Jitsu fighters who must battle alien invaders every six years in order to protect the Earth. It looks kind of like a martial arts-heavy, budget-light version of Predator although I’m guessing the end product will probably be something closer to Beyond Skyline. Directed by Dimitri Logothetis (Kickboxer: Retaliation), the movie co-stars Alain Moussi, Frank Grillo, JuJu Chan and Tony Jaa. Jiu Jitsu arrives in select theatres and on demand on Nov. 20th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
