Monster Hunter Official Trailer

After releasing a short teaser trailer earlier this month, Sony has finally unveiled a full trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson’s Monster Hunter. Based on the popular video game series by Capcom, the movie stars Milla Jovovich as the leader of a U.S. military team who are transported to another realm populated by giant monsters. There they are forced to team up with the other human inhabitants of said realm to prevent the monsters from traveling back to Earth. You might assume this would resemble a Godzilla movie but based on the trailer it looks a lot more like a Michael Bay Transformers movie, for better or worse. Monster Hunter co-stars Tony Jaa, Ron Perlman, T.I. Harris, Diego Boneta, Meagan Good and Josh Helman and it hits theatres on Dec. 30th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

    Ya know I like absurd fun movies and this…this looks like a absurd fun movie.

    Kinda wild to realize Jovovich will have been an action star across almost 4 decades when this hits (90s-20s)? She’s the closest to a female Tom Cruise in that sense…what other actress has been an action lead for that long? I guess Jamie Lee Curtis has her beat, but she was retired for like a decade in the middle

    The only other one that popped into my head is Michelle Yeoh. Not sure if she does much action stuff still today though.
