Freaky Trailer: A Body Swap Horror-Comedy from the Director of Happy Death Day

Freaky

After previously taking the time loop subgenre and adding a horror twist to create Happy Death Day, writer-director Christopher Landon is now giving another well-worn subgenre a bloody makeover as well. Freaky is a body swap comedy (obviously referencing the body swap classic Freaky Friday) that finds a teenage girl swapping bodies with a serial killer. Presumably both terror and hilarity ensue. Kathryn Newton (Blockers, Pokemon Detective Pikachu) stars opposite Vince Vaughn, who will challenge Jack Black’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle performance to see who can better emulate the mannerisms of a teenage girl. (Vaughn has previously played villains before as well, going all the way back to Gus Van Sant’s Psycho remake.) Freaky hits theatres on Friday (November) the 13th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Ummm I actually liked Happy Death Day but this looks like a Disney movie attempting Horror Disney style….I’ll pass.

Fully agree. Could be the editing for the trailer.
