I didn’t watch the Xbox event but did watch some impressions on it and Halo. The big bad (Thanos lookin mother fucker) seems to just be a brute which is a race that has been around since Halo 3. I did like the look of the game (didn’t noticed the cloud pop in) as it wasn’t an overly detailed art design mess like the previous 343 games; it’s simple solid colors like classic Halo. Not super excited for it based off the footage though. And as far as the love for the Halo story: Halo was the FF7, Super Mario World, GTA 3 type game for a whole generation of stupid kids, myself included. So a lot of people grew to love the stories of Halo before they were smart enough to know it is a bloated convoluted mess.

Sean, I know some people that really like the State of Decay games as the main focus of them is you managing a community in the zombie apocalypse. You can take control of any community member and play as them to scavenge supplies and do missions, but that is all in service to feed into the meta game of managing this community. That’s its unique game play hook.

I recommend watching this video from Digital Foundry for anyone that is interested to know why the Halo demo looked so flat:

    This is what I saw.

“The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is the first of two narrative expansions that can be purchased individually or bundled at a discount in The Outer Worlds Expansion Pass. A copy of The Outer Worlds on the same platform is required to play expansion(s).”

Glad to hear you came around on Ghost of Tsushima, Frank. Mediocre gameplay with 10/10 atmosphere/art design, still makes for a mediocre experience. I’ve done a full stop on that game, and am back on the TLOU2 platinum hunt (without a guide).
