Die Hart Trailer: Kevin Hart’s Action Comedy Series for Quibi

If you signed up for the initial free 90-day trial of the bite-sized streaming service Quibi, then you probably noticed that it just expired today (unless you forgot to cancel… oops). I don’t think it’s a coincidence that today is also the day that they decided to release the first trailer for their highest profile series to date, Die Hart. Directed by Eric Appel (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and written by Tripper Clancy (Stuber) and Derek Kolstad (John Wick), the series stars Kevin Hart as a fictional version of himself training to be an action star. John Travolta plays Ron Wilcox, a psychotic trainer who runs a school for action stars while Nathalie Emmanuel plays a rival student. Overall, it seems pretty small in scope, although Jean Reno and Josh Hartnett also apparently make appearances. Die Hart premieres on July 20th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

Weird how this trailer cuts out all the swearing. Is that an American thing? This must have been filmed a bloody long time ago given that Kevin Hart has really only just started walking again recently.

Studios be desperate for those dollars – they’ll dust off any old piece of s**t. :)

Jesus H. Christ on a Popsicle stick, give us a break already. We need LESS entertainment, not more. Don’t you love how this whole “unplugged” culture change is going to cost you more money, if it’s not already? Can’t just watch tv, need CBS All Access, need some Peacock, need some Quibi, need some premium YouTube, need some Apple TV+, need that Patreon subscription to every fucking content creator that has access to a microphone and a webcam. FUCK ME!
