Greenland Trailer Starring Gerard Butler

Although Geostorm bombed at the U.S. box office back in 2017, it still did some decent business overseas and that seems to have been enough to earn us another new Gerard Butler disaster movie. Greenland finds him reteaming with Angel Has Fallen director Ric Roman Waugh for a premise that is slightly less silly and surprisingly straightforward. A potentially cataclysmic comet is discovered to be on a collision course with Earth and Butler plays a man who attempts to get his estranged wife (Morena Baccarin) and son (Roger Dale Floyd) to safety. The movie is currently scheduled to hit theatres on Aug. 14th alongside Bill & Ted Face the Music, although whether that date will hold remains to be seen. If Christopher Nolan or Keanu can’t save the summer, maybe Gerard Butler will? Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

I don’t get it. What happened to his career? I thought his trajectory was heading up for awhile and then he started making all these crappy movies…what happened?

His first sign of problems was all of the rom-coms. It just got worse from there. Matthew McConaughey recovered from his rom-com days, but few can.

I would watch this movie right now at home for $10.00. Lol
You know what I like the 90’s era disaster movies. They’re all campy and bad. And I like that there is no super hero in sight.

McConaughey is a good actor. Maybe jerry butler isn’t so great? He’s pretty one note. He’s also found his niche.
