Blumhouse’s You Should Have Left Trailer Starring Kevin Bacon
Despite catching some flack from theatre owners (and AMC Theatres, in particular) for some of their big direct-to-VOD releases, Universal is continuing to push forward with more this summer. The latest title to be announced is a Blumhouse psychological thriller called You Should Have Left, based on the novel by Daniel Kehlmann. The movie is written and directed by David Koepp (Premium Rush) and it finds him reteaming with Kevin Bacon, who also starred in Koepp’s Stir of Echoes back in 1999. Bacon plays a screenwriter suffering from writer’s block who takes a vacation in the Welsh countryside with his wife (Amanda Seyfried) and daughter (Avery Essex). What starts as a relaxing getaway turns dark when he finds that there is a sinister force at work in the house and his past might come back to haunt him. You Should Have Left arrives on VOD on June 19th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.
