Why would an actor like Ryan Gosling appear in a movie as stupid as the Wolfman?

Did he turn down the role of Frankenstein because this was his dream role??

I do think Gosling will be a good Wolfman. Whether the movie will be goo I don’t know. But it seems to be based on a more modern take?

I assume Universal dumped the whole Monster Franchise idea? Thankfully so. The idea of Kurtzman running a franchise makes me want to throw up.

But I trust Gosling’s instincts as a film actor, so hopefully this will be good. I would like a more gothic time period, but that’s just my preference.
