Eurovision Song Contest Teaser Trailer Starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams

Although this year’s Eurovision Song Contest was cancelled due to COVID-19, the good news is that fans can still look forward to the next best thing: a Will Ferrell comedy that makes fun of it. Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is an upcoming Netflix movie that stars Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as fictional Icelandic musicians Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir participating in the annual competition. Netflix has just released a teaser trailer in the form of a music video for the duo’s hit single “Volcano Song”. Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is directed by David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers, The Change-Up) and co-stars Pierce Brosnan, Dan Stevens and Demi Lovato. The movie arrives on Netflix on June 26th; check out the teaser after the jump and see what you think.

    I’m sold for this. If you know Eurovision well, you will appreciate this. I’m not sure how much Eurovision is known in North America, but it’s big in Europe, and the parody here is dead on.
