The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee Trailer

If you were hoping that this 2018 Super Bowl commercial would somehow inspire another real Crocodile Dundee movie, well you’re in luck. Sort of. Paul Hogan is back in the upcoming meta-comedy The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee where he plays a version of himself on the verge of receiving a Knighthood for his services to comedy. All he has to do is remain on his best behaviour in the weeks leading up to the ceremony, but after unfortunate circumstances sully his reputation, he is forced to take action to clear his name. With a supporting cast that includes John Cleese, Chevy Chase, Olivia Newton-John, Nate Torrence, Shane Jacobson, Julia Morris, Rachael Carpani, Jim Jefferies, Reggie VelJohnson and Wayne Knight, the movie is directed by directed by Australian filmmaker Dean Murphy (Charlie & Boots, Strange Bedfellows). The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee is scheduled to hit theatres in Australia on April 30th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

    Frank is creamin’.

  • Derek Reilly

    that looks bloody awful!

That looks not funny plus it’s kinda depressing to see Hogan so old. Kinda similar to watching Ford in SW:TFA…really depressing.

  • Lori Cerny

Depressing, that’s the feeling I get, too.

  • Me too Lori, hope it is better than it looks. But my gut says no and to be honest I’m not quite sure if I have any interest in finding out. Still love Hogan though!
