    I’m genuinely concerned why Frank is always coughing on mic on every episode. Must be a diet thing. I want to offer a prescription of Frank cutting out carbonated drinks for a month and see how he feels afterward. Let’s get this petitioned.

    Also, concerning the Manifesto episode, we know Jay loves to mock Frank’s mild accent but boy of boy is Scott’s accent the absolute thickest I’ve ever heard. I for sure thought Jay would say something at some point but nope.

    The Invisible Man was garbage. I wanted to puke when it was compared to Fincher. Tons of plot holes too.

  • I’m really surprised that I haven’t seen anybody else here or on the show that is hyped for The Green Knight. It has all the cards it needs that it could turn out to be my favorite film this year. Written and directed by David Lowery, given total creative freedom by it’s producer A24, a stellar cast, and it’s a dark, gothic take on an Arthurian legend.

    Plus, just check out that trailer!

    I’m not hyped mostly because A Ghost Story was terrible. I’m not saying I won’t give it a look if it’s good though.

  • It’s irritating when people say “the year ahead doesn’t look good.”

    A) That’s crazy talk with how many titles and great directors have things coming out this year (Andrew Dominik, Craig Brewer, Chris Nolan, David Fincher, Charlie Kauffman, Wes Anderson, Pete Berg, Kelly Reichardt, Sofia Coppola, Spike Lee, Denis Villaneuve, Chloe Zhao (has 2), Tom Hanks is in three movies this year, new Bond, Bill and Ted, Top Gun, F&F 9, Quiet Place 2, etc. etc.etc.). I could go on and on with how many movies that look like they have potential are coming down the pike this year.

    B) There are SO MANY titles that look intriguing from unknown directors or sophomore efforts (like the director of The Rider or Goodnight Mommy, etc.). Look at all the stuff coming from A24 or Focus this year. Look at all your favorite actors and what they’ve got coming out. It’s a shit ton.

    C) Every year has a bunch of titles no one sees coming. So many end of year top ten lists are chock full of titles no on had on their radar at all until it was released.

    Saying 2020 doesn’t look good for movies is like saying 2020 doesn’t look good for t-shirts. A) There are a ton of great t-shirts out there and B) You can’t see half of the ones being released yet.

    As someone from the UK, I should probably own more than the single Indicatator Blu-Ray that I do. A part of why I don’t is because unlike Arrow/HMV Premium Collection and even Criterion, is that their stuff is never on sale.
