Run Trailer: From the Writer and Director of Searching

After the breakout hit Searching, writer-director Aneesh Chaganty and co-writer Sev Ohanian are reteaming for a new thriller that will no longer constrain the action to a computer screen. The movie is called Run (not to be confused with the upcoming HBO series of the same name) and it stars Kiera Allen as Chloe, a home-schooled teenager who starts to suspect that her domineering mother (Sarah Paulson) cannot be trusted and may be hiding some dark secrets from her. As Chloe decides to make her escape, her situation is complicated by one other detail: she is in a wheelchair. While that will no doubt add to the tension, the movie is breaking new ground simply by being one of the first movies ever to star a wheelchair user. Run hits theatres on May 8th (Mother’s Day weekend); check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

“…the movie is breaking new ground simply by being one of the first movies ever to star a wheelchair user.”

    Silver Bullet doesn’t count?

  • Sean

In this case I think the actress is actually a wheelchair user. But Silver Bullet definitely counts for something!
