Devs Trailer: Alex Garland’s Sci-Fi Series Comes to Hulu

After Ex Machina and Annihilation, Alex Garland has become a director that every sci-fi cinephile should be following closely. His next project finds him being lured to the small screen, however, where he is developing an original series for FX and Hulu called Devs. Although the title would seem to imply another Silicon Valley-type show, this is actually another sci-fi thriller very much in line with his previous two movies and it stars Nick Offerman in a relatively serious role. The plot revolves around an engineer at a Silicon Valley tech company who starts to suspect something sinister is happening within their secret advanced A.I. program after her boyfriend commits suicide. This is an eight-episode limited series and Alex Garland is writing and directing every episode. Devs co-stars Jin Ha, Zach Grenier, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny and Alison Pill and it arrives on Hulu on March 5th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.
