Little America Trailer: Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon’s Apple TV+ Series

Apple TV+ has been a bit slow to roll out original content so far, which is complicated by the fact that unlike most other streaming services they don’t have any catalogue material to rely on. Launch titles like The Morning Show, See and For All Mankind seem to have been mostly lost in the shuffle thus far, but perhaps their next big show will be different. Little America is an anthology TV series that focuses on true stories of immigrants taken from the pages of Epic Magazine. With a creative team that includes Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick), Alan Yang (Master of None) and Lee Eisenberg (The Office, Hello Ladies), this looks like it has the potential to bring something wildly different with every episode. Little America stars Zachary Quinto, Haaz Sleiman, Mélanie Laurent, Shaun Toub, John Ortiz, Conphidance and Sherilyn Fenn and it debuts on Apple TV+ on Jan. 17th. I’ve seen The Big Sick seven times now. This, though, seems immensely superficial.
