The Fast & Furious family is expanding this month with the release of a new animated series on Netflix that aims to bring younger viewers into the fold… and let’s face it, it’s never too early to get them started on underground street racing. The show is called Fast & Furious: Spy Racers and it centers on Dominic Toretto’s cousin, Tony Toretto, who is recruited by a government agency along with his friends to infiltrate a criminal organization called SH1FT3R (seriously). To be fair, this makes perfect sense as it basically looks like a CG Hot Wheels show and is sure to attract kids of a certain age, although whether it will hold any appeal for older Fast & Furious fans remains to be seen. Fast & Furious: Spy Racers is overseen by showrunners Tim Hedrick (Voltron: Legendary Defender) and Bret Haaland (The Penguins of Madagascar, Futurama) and it hits Netflix on Dec. 26th.
