Jason Segel’s Dispatches from Elsewhere Teaser Trailer

After taking some time away from high-profile movie and TV roles over the past few years and spending his time releasing a series of young adult novels, Jason Segel will return next year with an anthology series that he created called Dispatches from Elsewhere. Segel stars in the show alongside Sally Field, Richard E. Grant and Andre Benjamin and the plot is said to revolve around “a group of ordinary people who stumble onto a puzzle hiding just behind the veil of everyday life.” It sounds a bit like David Robert Mitchell’s Under the Silver Lake although it is supposedly based on content created by a San Francisco-based ARG company called Nonchalance. The first teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much but either way I am certainly intrigued. Dispatches from Elsewhere debuts on AMC sometime in 2020; check out the first teaser below and let us know what you think.

  • Lori Cerny

I am intrigued. His books are highly rated and he is the narrator for the audiobook versions. Now, what other actors would make great narrators?

By the way, isn’t Segel in front of a pile of televisions an iconic image from somewhere? I keep thinking a commercial, but maybe a movie.
