The Invisible Man Trailer Starring Elisabeth Moss

Here’s the first trailer for the next Universal Monster reboot after the failure of the Dark Universe and The Mummy starring Tom Cruise. Rather than stay on the action-oriented blockbuster path, they have gone the opposite direction by enlisting Blumhouse to bring the series back to its low budget horror roots. The Invisible Man is written and directed by Leigh Whannell (Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3) and it stars Elisabeth Moss as a woman who escapes an abusive relationship only to have her ex-boyfriend commit suicide. Little does she know, he has actually found a way to continue to terrorize her without being seen. It looks tense and modern while also throwing in some relevant underlying commentary about the unseen psychological effects of abuse. The Invisible Man hits theatres on Feb. 28th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Complete opposite direction indeed. IMDB lists the budget at only $1,230,000. Pretty sure the craft services budget on The Mummy was more lol. Looks interesting though. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Whannell based on the Saw and Insidious movies, but I loved Upgrade so definitely will check this one out.

    Not bad looking.

Must say this looks interesting…and Moss gives this movie some good Creds. Might catch this one.

I hate these damn overlong trailers, they could have cut this to 30seconds and made it just as effective and not give away so many scenes. But it is certainly an interesting take on the story.

Just reminding everyone that they release bad movies in January & February.

  • Another Scientologist lead… Truly the Dark Universe

I’m honestly kind of intrigued, this is a cool idea. They could’ve (or should’ve) used a different title altogether.
