The Banker Trailer: An Apple Original Starring Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson

Following up on the debut of Apple TV+ this past weekend, Apple has just released the trailer for their first high profile Apple original film. The Banker is directed by George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau) and is based on the true story of two revolutionary black entrepreneurs who built a real estate and banking empire in the 1960s. They cleverly used a working class white man to pose as the face of the business in order to game a system that was biased against them. The movie is using a little bit of Marvel casting power to help get people to see a politically and socially relevant drama with Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson in the lead roles. Nicholas Hoult, Nia Long and Colm Meaney also co-star. The Banker will hit select theatres on Dec. 6th before debuting on Apple TV+ in January; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

Looks good, won’t release near me, and I can’t afford Apple TV+. May have to bootleg.

Do y’all realize Samuel L Jackson has 188 acting credits?
