The Mandalorian Trailer #2

After releasing the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker last week, Disney and Lucasfilm have also now unveiled what appears to be the final trailer for their upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian. While the marketing for The Rise of Skywalker is trying to play on nostalgia and remind people why they love the original trilogy, this is hinting that there is room for different kinds of Star Wars stories out there. It’s not wildly different but there is a distinct western vibe and that Werner Herzog voiceover alone sets it apart. Jon Favreau has promised that this will delve into the “darker, freakier side of Star Wars” and although that is not fully on display here, you can at least see the potential for it. The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Bill Burr, Omid Abtahi, Taika Waititi and Werner Herzog and it premieres on Disney+ on Nov. 12th. Check out the new trailer below and see what you think.

To be honest, I really have no idea what I want out of a Star Wars TV series (there’s a long list of things I don’t want though) but I think this might be it.
