Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Final Trailer

Fresh off its premiere during Monday Night Football, here is the heavily hyped final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Up until now, it feels like Disney and Lucasfilm haven’t really shown us a whole lot from the movie with the previous trailer mixing in clips from all of the previous films in the saga as well. The good news is that there is a lot of new footage to pore over here, but ultimately it still feels like we’re mostly in the dark. Once again the big question is whether Rey will turn to the dark side and the trailer definitely plays on that without giving any definite answers. Will this be the epic conclusion we’ve all been hoping for? Tickets for the movie are on sale now. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theatres on Dec. 20th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

Zero comments? Seriously? Where is everybody?

Fantastic trailer. The first one wasn’t even a trailer, it was a showreel.

The Film Junk patreon has its own comment section. We’re standing outside the castle wall now. Although Sean is good enough to come outside every once and a while to see how we’re doing out here. He’s even trying to bring us transcripts of the conversations that transpire on the inside.

Yes, but what does this have to do with Patreon? Is everything published here also get published over there? I thought it was just for special postings and voting and stuff, not a mirror image of the regular site.

  • OsoDuck

Oh yeah maybe you’re right. I will sign up eventually but for now it’s a fantastical mystery to me.

This makes sense though if people are busy discussing things over there then there are less eyes on the website. A Star Wars trailer post without comments for a whole day is something I don’t ever recall seeing here :-)

Can’t be any worse than the last one!

Yeah I don’t like having the comments divided between two sites like this but Patreon doesn’t seem to have any tools for sharing them or duplicating them. I think you can lock certain posts on your own site using a Patreon login, maybe I need to look into that. Then the podcast posts could become public when they go live.

Actually maybe for now we can just unlock the posts for the episodes on the Patreon site once the episode goes public.

I agree though, still don’t know why no one is talking about a new Star Wars trailer. I guess Star Wars is dead… Disney killed it!

“Don’t mess with the DIC, or you’ll get f*cked” ????

I loved Blade Runner 2049, but I don’t think Star Wars should look like Blade Runner 2049.
