Star Trek: Picard NYCC Trailer

Well if it wasn’t initially billed as a Star Trek: The Next Generation sequel, it kinda feels like one now after CBS unveiled a brand new trailer for Star Trek: Picard at the New York Comic Con over the weekend. There are a lot of familiar faces here, although obviously the movie is not about the episodic adventures aboard a starship but rather something “slower, more lyrical and character-based.” The show is set twenty years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis and one of the most intriguing things is that it offers glimpses of what life is like back on Earth at the end of the 24th century. The NYCC panel also revealed an official premiere date of January 23rd. Star Trek: Picard arrives on CBS All Access in the U.S. and the CTV Sci-Fi Channel in Canada, while it will stream internationally on Amazon Prime. Check out the latest trailer below and let us know what you think.

Gotta say, CTV Sci-Fi Channel doesn’t quite roll off the tongue like Space did. Didn’t know they had changed the name. It’s like they had a brainstorming session to rename it and just gave up lol.

Gosh, Brent Spiner’s wig looks horrendous… so plastic-y.
