63 Up Trailer

Michael Apted’s Up series is a landmark work of non-fiction filmmaking that continues this year with its ninth installment, 63 Up. For the uninitiated, this is a documentary series that has followed the lives of fourteen British children since 1964 at the age of 7, checking in with them at seven year intervals (like a real-life Boyhood). The latest chapter was released earlier this year as a three-part TV series on ITV in the UK but Britbox is now bringing it to North American theatres (and later, I assume, their streaming service). This one finds the subjects in their 60s, grappling with Brexit, happiness and their mortality (among other things). 63 Up hits select theatres on Nov. 27th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
