Made more money than Spielberg's A.I. though. Ranking at #15 domestically and worldwide for 2001 isn't that bad, although considering the hefty budget it surely didn't draw a lot of profit (if any).

$274m in 2001 is around $397m today. So the last one was definitely a disappointment in that regard.

I guess you guys will need to get diving in that dumpster and review the first one now, lol. I still haven’t seen it myself, and the sequel was definitely nothing I was anticipating but this is interesting. I almost feel like it is too good to be true though. Kind of like all those stories of David Fincher joining World War Z 2, or David O. Russell being attached to Uncharted. I was actually looking forward to Uncharted again when Dan Trachtenberg joined, but also read this week that he’s not directing it any longer. Hopefully Wheatley ends up staying on TR2.
