Phil Maker-Mode needs to be a FJ regular

  • Loofton

    STAR WARS

    Disney also owns Star Wars.

  • We were so close, but Frank questioned himself since he had only watched an episode. Never doubt yourself Frankie.

Carrie Coon is not in Mindhunters. Anna Torv is.

LOL after all that… thanks for the correction.

Now we know why Jay was getting a Fringe vibe. Forgot that was her.

  • Jay Cheel

WHOOPS. Funny, considering the fact that when Gone Girl came out, I thought it featured the woman from Fringe.

  • devolutionary

In times of Shakespeare, there was Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Then in the 20th century we received Laurel and Hardy, followed up by Abbott and Costello. And now, we have reached the ultimate conclusion. Jay Cheel and Frank Knezic.

  • OK, I didn’t really want this to get out in the open, but as my gag order was IGNORED and it’s entirely my fault, I’ll need to take responsibility for Frank seeing Manson a disturbing amount of times in a short period. Actually it’s mainly Groupon Canada’s fault. They were running ticket deals for the Zombie+Manson: Twins of Evil – Hell Never Dies concert in London, Zak’s birthday was coming up, I’m the worst…one thing led to another…next thing you know two baldies are rocking out to Dope Hat at Budweiser Gardens on a Wednesday night.

My only hope is that my gag orders be respected in future, as they are there to protect all bald and non-bald parties. Partying down with a bro, filling your ears with drop D guitar arrangements and your belly with Labatt 50 is nothing to be ashamed of. But doing it twice in a just over a week is cause for concern. And given his case of the ‘Summer Blues’, speculation over his mental state, and refusal to eat, I felt it necessary to quell the rumours before they run rife. To be fair, I didn’t buy Frank’s ticket, but I created an irresistible honey trap. It was his only chance to ever see Manson with Zak. He had no choice. People unable to understand Frank’s actions here are CLEARLY jealous about the perks of the ‘Canadian celebrity lifestyle’.

Jay’s so right about people not understanding what it means for Disney to buy another studio. People are way too focused on minute things like X character getting into the MCU. It blows my mind that that’s the general populace main concern when these buyouts happen ????.

  • Niklas

Frank, you can come park in my condo’s guest parking to save the $20 whenever you want to come to TIFF

  • OsoDuck

I’m usually on Frank’s side when Jay is raking him over the coals, but I now partly understand where Jay is coming from after hearing Frank give a wholehearted defense of the Disney Corporation. Give Frank enough Disney Rewards Points and this guy will say anything. Disney has a monopoly on Knezic.

I’ve got an update on the Spielberg scarf situation. It turns out the thing he’s been wearing around his neck is his childhood sock puppet, not an actual scarf.

    nice!

The description you guys gave of that General Motors documentary reminded me a lot of the 1986 movie “Gung Ho” starring Michael Keaton. In that case it was a Japanese company who bought out a Pennsylvania auto manufacturer highlighting the different corporate cultures.

If you’re vibin’ next week, may I suggest Scott and Reed? Scott because he’s practically another version of Jay. (Haven’t heard the term “biggins” in awhile.) And Reed because Reed.

  • Strybeck

    You mean Phil Mae Quermoed?

  • Beat_C

what a great epsidoe ’twas, had everything i need from FJ ??

Frank is confused or has become so entrenched in contrarianism that he doesn’t even notice it. Defying the COPO at every opportunity but failing to grasp that Disney is targeting a ‘sheep mentality’. People will watch whatever is put in front of them. If there was no comic book franchises and only original IP then the audiences would watch that. Sean’s belief that Disney does not have a political message ignores the fact the absence of a position or a slant is in itself a political position.
