I think it was the ‘Pride & Glory’ directors commentary where he said he lost the plot with Norton. A case of the actor thinking that they were in charge because they were more famous. He had to put his foot down multiple times and remind him that final say goes to the director about creative decisions. In saying that, there’s always another side to the story so who knows.
Ideally, one day, Jay will direct Ed Norton in something and record all interactions the same way he does with his prostate exams (and then we get to decide which experience was worse).

I’ve read the same and I think we discussed it a bit on the Hannibal premium. Supposedly he tried to take too much creative control on Incredible Hulk and after that studios stayed far away.

I’ve read numerous stories over the years about how much a pain he is to work with.That might have contributed to the slower output in the 2010s. I think a lot of filmmakers are tired of his shit. Still a great actor though. I’ve always thought it was probably getting his first Oscar nomination that’s made him hard to work with. Imagine getting nominated for your first film role ever. You’re going to think you know it all.
