Between Two Ferns: The Movie Trailer Starring Zach Galifianakis

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen any new episodes of Zach Galifianakis’ tongue-in-cheek talk show Between Two Ferns on Funny Or Die, but the good news is that we are about to get an entire movie on Netflix instead. If you’re wondering how a show like this can possibly be adapted into a feature length format, they seem to be relying on the standard tried and tested plot device for such things: a good old-fashioned road trip. This will apparently be used to stitch together interviews with such celebrities as Matthew McConaughey, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tiffany Haddish, Brie Larson, Peter Dinklage, David Letterman, Awkwafina, Keanu Reeves, Chance the Rapper and many more. Sounds good to me. Between Two Ferns: The Movie arrives on Netflix on Sept. 20th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

I have a feeling this is only going to be for fans of the web series, so I am not sure why they are even bother releasing who the guests will be. I’m sure they are saving a few surprises but they should have left it all a mystery.

Agreed, this seems overtly scripted whereas the web series (sometimes) has a fun, spontaneity.

Should be a VOD release only.

This is exactly the sort of thing Netflix is perfect for. I’ll definitely watch it a day or two after it hits, but if it was a theatre release I’d happily wait a year before giving it a poke.
