If you thought the timeline from the Terminator franchise had become a little too convoluted after five movies, Paramount and James Cameron are hoping they can win you over by going back and making a direct sequel to T2: Judgment Day. But of course, there are some new twists here as well and it is potentially the start of another trilogy with a convoluted timeline of its own. Terminator: Dark Fate finds Linda Hamilton returning as Sarah Connor and discovering that although she helped stop Skynet, humanity is still in danger. Terminator: Salvation already had a Terminator who thinks he is human, so this time around Mackenzie Davis plays a human who is an enhanced cyborg. Meanwhile the villain, played by Gabriel Luna, is an advanced Terminator who can apparently split in two. Natalia Reyes is the mysterious new girl who must be protected while Arnold Schwarzenegger is back along with Edward Furlong (or so we’ve been told). Terminator: Dark Fate hits theatres on Nov. 1st; check out the new trailer and let us know what you think.
