Disney’s Lady and the Tramp Remake Trailer

ladyandthetramp

In another attempt to attract new subscribers to Disney+, Disney is debuting one of their trusty live-action remakes of animated classics exclusively on the streaming service. The animated classic in this case is the charming 1955 romance Lady and the Tramp and, unlike the recent versions of The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Dumbo, the animals are actually real (for the most part). Featuring the voices of Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux, the movie is directed by Charlie Bean (The Lego Ninjago Movie) but perhaps the most interesting thing about it is the fact that the script was written by mumblecore pioneer Andrew Bujalski. Lady and the Tramp debuts on Disney+ on Nov. 12th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

My eyes popped out of my head seeing Bujalski’s name in the credits. Guess I’ll see it for him. At least it looked like they were mostly using real animals.

I would be happy if they stuff all their live-action remakes on their streaming service so they hopefully have less of a footprint on the global marketplace which is in a state of extreme regurgitation.

    just make it stop please.
