The Mandalorian Trailer: First Look at the Disney+ Live-Action Star Wars Series

Although the first footage from the upcoming Star Wars series The Mandalorian screened for fans at Star Wars Celebration back in April, Disney and Lucasfilm mostly skipped Comic-Con in favour of Disney’s own D23 Expo. Today they finally dropped the first official trailer for the show and confirmed a launch date for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service. The series takes place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and is set primarily on Tatooine with a bit of a wild west, post-apocalyptic feel to it. The Mandalorian is headed up by Jon Favreau and stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Taika Waititi, Bill Burr, and Mark Boone Jr. The Mandalorian and Disney+ both arrive on Nov. 12th; check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

That IG-88 double-gun pandering is tickling my inner 5-year-old and I am all here for it. PANDER TO ME, GOD FAVREAU.

Having just recently rewatched Rocky 1,2,3 & 4, I’m really looking forward to seeing Carl Weathers in this. Be great if his sidekick is the robot from Rocky IV.
