Treadstone Trailer: USA Network’s Bourne TV Series

treadstone

Although Universal’s attempt to expand the Bourne movie franchise didn’t really work with The Bourne Legacy, this year they are launching a small screen spin-off called Treadstone. The TV series will follow other sleeper agents who are a part of the same CIA black ops program as Jason Bourne, living normal lives until they are activated to fulfill deadly missions. Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) and Brian J. Smith (Sense8) star while Tim Kring (Heroes) is acting as executive producer, writer and showrunner. Without Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass being involved this mostly just looks like a million other shows on network TV, but I guess that also means there is potentially an audience for it. Treadstone is set to premiere on USA Network this fall; check out the first trailer below and see what you think.

oh, it’s the guy from sense8. yeah. he’s certainly bland enough to fit the role.

Isnt it enough that we’ve been given five movies with boring plots, no interesting characters, and are just scene after scene of someone running in Europe then cutting to a scene of nobodies sitting behind computers while their boss yells at them? Now we need a tv series of that? Get bent.

After the last movie, removing Damon and Greengrass might not be the worst idea.
