Up until now most of the original movies and TV shows on Shudder have been acquisitions, but the horror-centric streaming service has been slowly starting to produce some of their own content as well. Perhaps the biggest of these so far is Creepshow, the upcoming TV series based on the 1982 horror anthology film directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen King. It is a perfect property to bring to television and they have recruited a decent line-up of directors to do it justice including Tom Savini, David Bruckner, Roxanne Benjamin, Rob Schrab, John Harrison and Greg Nicotero (who is also executive producing the whole thing). The show will consist of 6 episodes with 2 segments per episode and the cast includes Adrienne Barbeau, Giancarlo Esposito, Tobin Bell, Tricia Helfer, David Arquette, Dana Gould, Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Davison and DJ Qualls. Creepshow debuts exclusively on Shudder on Sept. 26th; check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.
