Blumhouse Announces Two New Halloween Sequels

After last year’s Halloween made $255 million worldwide, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Michael Myers would return to the big screen again in the near future. Now this week Universal and Blumhouse have announced that they will release not one but two sequels, titled Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, on Oct. 16, 2020 and Oct. 15, 2021 respectively. Writer-director David Gordon Green and co-writer Danny McBride will return along with Jamie Lee Curtis while John Carpenter remains on board as a producer (and, probably, composer as well). It is definitely a bold move to plan two movies back to back like this and the titles hint at some form of finality which seems unlikely for such a long-running horror franchise. Are you looking forward to two more Halloween movies? Check out the announcement teaser after the jump.
