Tuesday Morning Box Office Report: Toy Story 4 Still Untouchable

boxofficetoystory4_2

Toy Story 4 stayed far ahead of the competition in its second weekend as the Pixar sequel added another $58 million domestically, bringing its worldwide total to $500 million. In second place, Annabelle Comes Home pulled in $20 million, a fair bit less than the previous two Annabelle films but it opened on Wednesday and the full 5-day total is more in line with expectations. Danny Boyle’s Yesterday wasn’t far behind, opening in third with $17 million which is a pleasant surprise for Universal. Meanwhile, Aladdin dropped to fourth while becoming the biggest movie of Will Smith’s career and The Secret Life of Pets 2 rounded out the top 5. As for Avengers: Endgame, it failed to catch Avatar and remains approximately $27 million away from the all-time worldwide record. James Cameron is still the king of the world… for now.

Apparently Marvel re-released Endgame this past weekend that included a deleted scene and preview of Spider-Man, so they are trying hard to get that #1 spot. They fail to realize that there is only one person that can over take James Cameron and his name is James Cameron lol.

I’d rather spend my money on Spider-man than rewatching EndGame, that movie is tedious to see.
