New to Theatres This Weekend: Toy Story 4, Child’s Play, Anna

After a few weeks of underperforming sequels, Disney is set to once again revive the box office this weekend with a sequel of their own. Toy Story 4 is likely to challenge Incredibles 2 for the biggest animated opening of all time and the overwhelmingly positive reviews seem to indicate that Pixar has not lost their touch with this particular franchise. There are two other major releases this weekend but they should not pose much of a threat: Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play remake and Luc Besson’s action thriller Anna, neither of which are getting much love from critics. In select theatres, Neon is also releasing Tom Harper’s Wild Rose and we also have a pair of documentaries: Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am and The Quiet One (the latter focuses on former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman). What will you be watching this weekend?
