Star Trek: Picard Teaser Trailer

After debuting the first look at their upcoming series Star Trek: Picard during upfronts last week, CBS has finally released a teaser trailer online as well. It is most definitely just a teaser, but it presents some intriguing questions, hinting that something forced Picard to leave Starfleet and retreat to the comfort of his family vineyard back on Earth. Narrated by Sonequa Martin-Green, the teaser does not reveal what else the show might have in store and if Jean-Luc will, in fact, be lured out of retirement. 78-year-old Patrick Stewart returns for the lead role with Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Harry Treadaway also co-starring. Star Trek: Picard will premiere on CBS All Access in late 2019; check out the teaser below and see what you think.

I love Jean-Luc Picard as much as anybody, but is there even a chance that this is good? I mean Patrick Stewart is 78 years old and who knows what he wants for the character, and isn’t the ‘showrunner’ Alex Kurtzman?
