With live-action remakes of animated classics still continuing to print money for Disney, the studio is now moving forward with sequels to several of these live-action remakes as well. Considering that the main draw of these movies is a retelling of well-known stories that everyone loves, it is still unclear if audiences are actually interested in seeing a continuation of said stories. Alice: Through the Looking Glass turned out to be a dud, but perhaps Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will be a bigger success. Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning return as Maleficent and Princess Aurora, once again laying out more backstory for Sleeping Beauty. Directed by Joachin Ronning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), the movie co-stars Michelle Pfeiffer and hits theatres on Oct. 18th.
